Initially built as a coal mine managers house, this former royal Victorian shooting lodge, nestled into the hillside surrounded by Monolithic and Neolithic rock carvings, West Nab Shooting Lodge was boarded up at the start of the 1st world war laying dormant apart from the use of local farmers for the next 100 years, used in Many Tv Series and films and a popular location for a famous local artist Ashley Jackson, Slowly we are bringing the Lodge back to its former glory, regenerating the biodiverse habitats encouraging rare nesting birds and using a herd of Pedigree Belted Galloway for conservation grazing.
