West nab Shooting Lodge offers a selection of simulated days, all set in over 100 acres of stunning grouse moorland based on the outskirts of Huddersfield right at the edge of the Peak district National Park. Experience the excitement of a driven shoot at a fraction of the cost!

Set in ideal shooting landscape with spectacular scenery, Our Simulated Game Days offers parties from 6 to 24 guns an unforgettable experience, with a mixture of both Bowman and Promatic game traps, Drives consist of Duck, Pigeon, Grouse, Partridge, and high Pheasant, test your shooting skills with the nearest you will come to a driven game shoot.

Itinerary

  • We aim to simulate a driven game day as closely as possible.

    The day begins with guests meeting for breakfast to enjoy a breakfast roll or two, sourced locally within proximity of the location, a selection of teas, and coffee or orange juice. Once breakfast is finished the shoot host will discuss the day and explain all the safety features, if you have any questions or haven’t shot on a simulated day before just ask.

  • We then set out for the first of two drives, after which we head back to the main house for a fabulous locally sourced elevenses and then return to the field for two more drives and conclude the day with Lunch, more drinks, and nibbles.

    We run each of the drives twice so one guest will shoot and the other will load, then switch ensuring everyone is involved throughout the day. You can expect each gun to shoot around 300+ cartridges a day…. Even more if you’re eager to poach!

  • *Please note cartridges are not included in the daily price, Guns, Cartridges and Loaders are available if required please contact for more information.

    *Please note novice or inexperienced guns are welcome, however, please make the shoot host aware so relevant safety precautions can be taken.

    Dogs are more than welcome, along with spectators (spectators will be fully catered £25 per spectator )
